The pentesting quality mark
CCV certification: the tester gets tested
If you test the cyber security of other organisations, you will want your clients to know that you are a professional organisation. The pentesting quality mark shows the expertise and security your organisation has to offer. DEKRA audits organisations according to the certification scheme of the Centre for Crime Prevention and Safety (Centrum voor Criminaliteitspreventie en Veiligheid (CCV)). It enables us to decide whether or not you are eligible for the CCV pentesting quality mark.
What is a pentest?
Pentesting (otherwise known as ‘penetration testing’) exposes the weaknesses in digital systems. Organisations can have pentesting done to test their digital systems and put measures in place to protect themselves against cyber crime. Fortunately, most companies check the reliability of their IT specialists before allowing them to try to legally hack their digital systems. The pentesting
quality mark
enables you to demonstrate the reliability of your organisation.
Version 2.0 of the pentest quality mark is expected to be published on October 1, 2023 and this version will be effective from January 1, 2024.
What does the new version mean for you?
From January 1, 2024, all audits will take place according to the new scheme of the pentest quality mark (version 2.0). The differences with version 1.0 are limited, but if you are currently taking action to comply with the pentest quality mark, it is important to take careful note of the new version.
Quality guaranteed for clients
If you have the CCV pentesting quality mark, your clients will know that you are a professional cyber security organisation.

Certification with the pentesting quality mark
The pentesting quality mark shows that your organisation’s employees are qualified and reliable. It also shows that your organisation carries out cyber security tests in a reliable and professional manner. This gives your clients peace of mind when they choose to have pentesting done by your organisation. DEKRA would be pleased to audit your organisation. If you are awarded the quality mark, DEKRA will re-audit you on an annual basis to confirm that you are still meeting all the relevant requirements. Did you know that you can also combine the pentesting quality mark with
ISO 27001
or
ISO 9001?
DEKRA can arrange this combined certification for you as well.
