IP address anonymization is enabled. Due to IP anonymization, your IP address will be truncated by Google within the Member States of the European Union or another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

We use Google Ads Conversion to draw attention to personal offers with the help of advertising material (Google Ads) on external websites. Based on data from the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful the individual advertisements are. We are interested in showing you advertisements that are relevant to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to be able to provide a more personalized experience.

These advertising media are provided by Google via so-called "ad servers". For this we use ad server cookies, which allow us to measure certain parameters for measuring success, such as the reach of advertisements or clicks by the user. If you visit our website via a Google ad, Google Ads stores a cookie on your device. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. The analysis values for this cookie are usually the unique cookie ID, the number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), the last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (marking that the user does not want this anymore addressed).

These cookies allow Google to recognize your internet browser. If a user visits Ads-affiliated websites and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the advertiser can see that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each Ads-affiliate. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of Ads-affiliates. We do not collect or process any personal data ourselves in the above process. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the ad formats used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data about the use of the advertising material; in particular, we cannot identify the users based on this information.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool. By integrating Ads Conversion, Google receives the signal that you have opened or clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your profile. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, it is possible that the provider will find out and store your IP address.

DEKRA uses the remarketing function within the Google Ads service. The remarketing function allows us to show users of our website advertisements based on their interests on other websites within the Google advertising network (in Google Search or on YouTube or on other websites). The interaction of the users on our website is analysed, for example which offers the user was interested in, in order to be able to show the users targeted advertisements on other pages even after visiting our website. For this purpose, Google stores cookies on the devices of users who visit certain Google services or websites in the Google Display Network. These cookies are used to record the visits of these users. The cookies are used to uniquely identify a web browser on a specific device and not to identify an individual.

Type of cookie

Legal basis: Article 6 (1) a GDPR (consent)

For the analysis and optimization of our online activities, the so-called Facebook pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag are used on our website.

The Facebook pixel and LinkedIn Tag are a piece of code that we have integrated on our website. The pixel collects information about the user's browser session, a Facebook and LinekdIn ID and the URL being viewed and sends it to Facebook. and LinkedIn.

Using this information, Facebook and LinkedIn can identify our website visitors as a target audience for ads. This allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook/LinkedIn ads for statistical and market research purposes and to optimize future advertising measures.

The data collected about you is anonymous to us, so we cannot draw any conclusions about your identity. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook and LinkedIn so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and can be used by Facebook/LinkedIn for its own market research and advertising purposes. As a website operator, we have no influence on the use of this data.

You can find more information about protecting your privacy in Facebook's (www.facebook.com/about/privacy/) and LinkedIn's (https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy) data protection information. The use of the Facebook pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag and the storage of "conversion cookies" takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke this at any time in our cookie settings .

We use analysis software from Hotjar Ltd. (“Hotjar”) to better understand our users' interests and optimize our website. We use this analysis tool on the basis of your consent (in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), which we requested when you visit our website.

Hotjar works with cookies and other technologies to collect information about the behavior of our users and their devices (in particular the IP address of the device, screen size, device type), information about the browser used, location (country only), preferred language for displaying our website, mouse use (movement, position and clicks) and keyboard use without specific text). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymised user profile. Hotjar does not use the information to identify individual users or to combine it with other data about individual users.

With the service we can make so-called heatmaps of the use of our website. Scrolling, cursor movement and clicking / tapping are recorded and based on this a graphical representation is made of the use of our website by all users. Frequently used spaces are displayed in a different color than infrequently used spaces. With this tool we can also create so-called visitor registrations. The live recordings capture the following:

  • HTML changes (our website and usage)
  • Cursor and scroll movement
  • Change in browser view (size)

It is also possible to perform these recordings cross-page. The recording then starts on the first page on which Hotjar is integrated and ends as soon as you leave our site. We do not record texts you enter.

For the analysis of certain technical data and for data processing and/or storage functions, Hotjar cooperates with a limited number of reliable third-party service providers. These service providers are carefully selected by Hotjar and meet high standards of data protection and security. Data is only provided to service providers to the extent necessary for the provision of the services offered, and Hotjar contractually obliges them to keep all data provided to them by Hotjar confidential and to use personal data only in accordance with Hotjar's instructions. More information can be found here in Hotjar's privacy policy.

The cookies that Hotjar uses have a different "lifespan"; some are valid for up to 365 days and some are only valid during the current visit.

Possibility of revocation

You can withdraw your consent at any time by preventing the storage of cookies through your browser software settings. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website in full. More information can be found at https://www.hotjar.com/policies/do-not-track/. You can also adjust our cookie settings to determine which types of cookies you allow or refuse on this website.
