What is IEC 60335?

IEC 60335 consists of several parts:
  • Part 1 (IEC 60335-1) contains general safety requirements that apply to virtually all household appliances.
  • Part 2 (IEC 60335-2-XX) contains specific additional requirements for each type of appliance, such as ovens, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, fans, etc.
