Preliminary Investigation

We will conduct a remote preliminary investigation within 4 weeks. During the preliminary investigation, our product specialist will typically contact you. The purpose of our preliminary investigation is to determine whether there may be an ineffective management system. The outcome of this preliminary investigation will be documented in a report and communicated to you.

Results of the preliminary investigation can be:

  • No further action required.
  • Further investigation is required during the next regular audit.
  • Further investigation is required during an additional audit (within six weeks after the preliminary investigation).
  • Further investigation is required during an additional audit (within six weeks after the preliminary investigation) and a provisional suspension of the certificate.
The hours of the preliminary investigation and any additional audit will be charged to you at the applicable rate.
