Why hire DEKRA as an EMC expert?

DEKRA: your full-fledged EMC-expert

Expertise in Electromagnetic Compatibility

All electrical devices generate an electromagnetic field. When introducing electrical equipment to the market, it must not interfere with other devices or be susceptible to interference itself. Devices that function well and do not cause disruptions are said to have good electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). With EMC testing by DEKRA, you demonstrate that your product meets EMC requirements.

As EMC experts, we conduct our tests on various devices, including:
  • Medical equipment
  • EV charging stations
  • Energy storage systems
  • Power supplies and batteries
  • IT and IoT devices
  • Wireless modules
  • Household appliances
  • Lighting products
DEKRA's EMC experts are ready to assist you so that you can bring your products to market quickly.

EMC guidelines

In Europe, Directive 2014/30/EU applies to EMC. This directive regulates the electromagnetic emission and immunity of devices and fixed installations, preventing them from causing interference with other devices or being affected by interference from others.
The EMC directive is part of the requirements for affixing the CE marking to your product. As EMC experts, we stay updated on the latest developments to serve you in the best possible way.

EMC notified body

DEKRA is a Notified Body for EMC, meaning we conduct our EMC tests independently and impartially, with the necessary expertise. As an EMC Notified Body, we test according to the European Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU. This gives you access to the European market and beyond, including Australia and the US. We are recognized by the Federal Communication Commission as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB), meaning the FCC accepts all our EMC test results, granting you access to the American market.
