DEKRA invests over €10 million in future-proof testing facilities for energy transition technologies

DEKRA Certification B.V. announces a strategic investment of over €10 million to expand its testing facilities in Arnhem, the Netherlands. This investment reinforces DEKRA's position as a reliable international partner for safety and sustainability testing and highlights its commitment to supporting the energy transition.

The investment will enable the expansion of the Arnhem testing facilities with another state-of-the-art laboratory. The new facilities will provide manufacturers of innovative solutions with high-quality and efficient testing and certification services, that will focus on technologies that are critical for the energy transition, such as charging solutions, grid digitalization, cybersecurity, and safety testing.

Responding to increasing digitalization

The rapid digitalization of systems and the complexity of new technologies demand robust testing and certification processes. DEKRA’s new facilities will not only address current market requirements but also anticipate future challenges in the energy and technology sectors. This is a tangible step toward working together with industries, governments, and other stakeholders for a safe and sustainable transition to new energy sources and technologies.
Additionally, DEKRA enhances its advanced automotive testing services, addressing the specific complexities of products for the automotive industry, including testing of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and EV charging stations, testing under specific climate circumstances and several other mobility technologies.
