This is the privacy statement of DEKRA Netherlands Holding B.V., Meander 1051, 6825 MJ Arnhem and affiliated companies.

DEKRA is a company where safety is most important and for that reason DEKRA wants to handle your personal data in a safe and open manner. Through this page we want everyone whose personal data are being processed by DEKRA in the Netherlands to know why this data is being processed and which rights are associated with it.

The reason we process your personal data

Personal data will only be processed if this is permitted on the basis of article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (better known as the GDPR). This means that processing is either necessary or that we have your explicit consent to do so. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Privacy on the website

DEKRA respects the privacy of all visitors on the website, the information we collect when you visit our website depends on your cookie settings. If you do not consent to the collection of cookies, we will only record the location of the IP address you use, the type of computer, the browser version you use, the pages visited and the date and time of your visit. This information is recorded for evaluation and improvement of the website.

The period for which the personal data will be stored

DEKRA will store your personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed. When DEKRA no longer needs to store the personal data for processing, DEKRA will only store your personal data if necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.

Transferring data to third parties

In principle, DEKRA will not forward personal data to third parties if this is not necessary. DEKRA only does this if it is necessary to carry out its tasks. If DEKRA forwards your information to a third party, DEKRA will take into account all of the applicable legislation. Since DEKRA is an international company, it will in some cases be necessary for data to be processed outside the EU. Here too, the applicable legislation is taken into account. DEKRA will never forward, sell or exchange your data with third parties for direct marketing purposes.

Your rights

When your personal data are processed by DEKRA, you have certain rights. You have the right to:
  • request DEKRA to provide you with information regarding your personal data that DEKRA processes;
  • request DEKRA to rectify any incorrect and / or outdated personal data;
  • request DEKRA to complement incomplete personal data;
  • request DEKRA to delete your personal data;
  • request DEKRA to restrict certain parts of the processing of your personal data;
  • request DEKRA to transfer your personal data to a third party;
  • object to the processing of personal data by DEKRA.
DEKRA will consider all requests and answer within a reasonable time. If DEKRA decides to decline your request, DEKRA will inform you accordingly. After having received a request, DEKRA can ask you for more information, so that we can confirm your identity. Such a request can be submitted via the email address below.

Google Anaytics

Scope of processing

Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of our websites. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US and saved there.
We use Google Signals. This allows Google Analytics to collect additional information about users who have activated personalized ads (interests and demographics). Ads can be delivered to these users in cross-device remarketing campaigns.
IP address anonymization is enabled. Due to IP anonymization, your IP address will be truncated by Google within the Member States of the European Union or another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Purpose and legal basis of the processing

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, and compiling reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used to analyze the performance of our website and the success of our marketing campaigns.
The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is your declaration of consent according to point (a) of Art. 6 (1) of the GDPR.

Storage period

The data sent by us and linked to cookies are automatically deleted after 14 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached, takes place automatically once a month.

It cannot be ruled out that US authorities may access the data stored by Google.

Third country transfer

Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA and there is no level of data protection equivalent to the European standard, we have concluded EU standard contractual clauses with the service provider to establish an appropriate level of data protection. The parent company of Google Ireland, Google LLC, is based in California, USA. A transfer of data to the USA and access by US authorities to the data stored by Google cannot be ruled out. The USA is currently considered a third country from a data protection perspective. You do not have the same rights there as within the EU/EEA. You may not be entitled to any legal remedies against access by authorities.

Right to withdrawal

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by changing the cookie settings. Click here to adjust your settings . The lawfulness of the processing carried out based on the consent until the revocation, remains unaffected.
You can also prevent the storage of cookies by changing your browser settings to prevent the saving of cookies. However, if you configure your browser to reject all cookies, this may result in a restriction of functionalities on this and other websites.
