Optimalisatie van EV-charging: regel uw OCPP certificering

Hoe kunt u ervoor zorgen dat gebruikers van uw laadstations de best mogelijke ervaring hebben? Door de compatibiliteit van uw laadstations met de elektrische voertuigen (EV's) die erop aangesloten zijn te maximaliseren. Dit is alleen mogelijk wanneer elk onderdeel van het laadproces effectief communiceert: het EV, het laadstation en het beheersysteem. Dit kunt u bereiken door OCPP certificering (OCPP 1.6 of OCPP 2.0.1) te behalen bij DEKRA. Bovendien draagt OCPP certificering bij aan de professionaliteit van uw organisatie door up-to-date te blijven binnen het eMobility ecosysteem en zorgt het voor interoperabiliteit van uw laadstationinfrastructuur.

Wat betekent OCPP?

OCPP staat voor Open Charge Point Protocol, een open communicatieprotocol dat specifiek is ontwikkeld voor de interactie tussen elektrische laadstations en managementsystemen voor laadnetwerken. Dit protocol zorgt ervoor dat laadstations van verschillende fabrikanten probleemloos kunnen communiceren met backend-systemen, wat flexibiliteit en interoperabiliteit bevordert in de laadnetwerkinfrastructuur. Door OCPP certificering wordt de gebruiksvriendelijkheid en betrouwbaarheid voor de eindgebruiker verhoogt.
OCPP 1.6 vs OCPP 2.0.1: what are the main differences?
OCPP 2​.0​.1 was released in 2018. It is the successor to OCPP 1​.6, which is still widely used. The new version OCPP 2.0.1 features a number of improvements:
  • added security provided by firmware updates;
  • security logs;
  • event notifications;
  • security profiles for authentication and secure communication.
This significantly increases the certainty of a secure connection. Other changes include improved transaction handling and improved charging station management. Charging stations can be monitored and it is possible to set up and change configurations. Smart charging was introduced with the release of OCPP 1.6. Functionalities have been added to OCPP 2.0.1 to improve the user’s charging experience.

OCPP certification with DEKRA: Recognized by the Open Charge Alliance

Globally, there are just a few organizations that are authorised to do OCPP compliance tests for OCPP 1.6 and OCPP 2.0.1. DEKRA is one of these organizations. We were selected for this role by the Open Charge Alliance (OCA). OCA has developed a test and certification procedure for this purpose, which it updates continuously. Our experts adhere to this procedure strictly when performing compliance tests.
After successful tests, we prepare a test report in which the results are set out. Once this report has been signed - by the customer and us - we send it to the OCA. It then arranges for the product to be certified and listed on OCPP certification register, as compliant with OCPP 1.6 or OCPP 2.0.1. If your charging station or charging station management system application passes the OCPP certification, it confirms compliance and interoperability and allows you to demonstrate this to other stakeholders.
