More and more, auditors are checking up on employees’ VCA diplomas

Check that your employees have a valid VCA diploma

Sep 20, 2022

SSVV Netherlands, CSM Belgium and VAZ Germany are appealing to VCA certification holders to check up on whether their employees are still in possession of a valid VCA diploma via the Central Diploma Register (CDR). A training ID is not a valid document.

Employees are still regularly trying to pass off their ID cards for training as proof of certification. An ID card does not prove someone is qualified. It only shows that someone has attended the training course.
In the Netherlands you can check this via www.cdr.ssvv.nl and in Belgium via www.csm-examen.be/cdr . In Germany you should contact VAZ (Verband Akkreditierter Zertifizierungsgesellschaften e.V.). Only by making this check can you be sure that someone has obtained their BVCA or VOL-VCA diploma. This will enable them to continue working at client locations under your VCA certificate.
Increasingly, our auditors are asking for proof of a VCA diploma from the CDR. This can happen during a work visit to the project location. On such visits we ask the operational member of staff to produce their VCA diploma. We also carry out random checks for VCA diplomas in the office. It is important that valid documents can be shown during VCA audits. Our tip to employees is for them to make a screenshot of their VCA diploma from the relevant page in the CDR.
